iOS app

Welna helps you prepare for medical appointments: connect Apple Health (read-only), add notes or a document, and get a plain-language summary plus questions to discuss with your clinician. Your text is redacted on your device before anything is sent.

Email support@openmed.life and we'll get back to you, typically within 2–3 business days. Including your iOS version and device model helps us help you faster.

How do I sign in?

Welna runs GPT‑5.5 through your own account — no separate subscription. On the Connect step, either sign in with ChatGPT, or tap "Or use an OpenAI API key" and paste a personal key. Your credentials are stored only in your device's Keychain.

What is the on-device privacy model?

A small model Welna downloads once (about 265 MB; Wi‑Fi recommended). It removes names, dates, and identifiers from your text on your iPhone before anything is sent to the AI. It's reused for every document and note.

How is my data handled?

Apple Health is read-only and your documents are redacted on-device before any cloud request. Only redacted text and normalized health summaries are sent — to OpenAI, under your own account. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

How do I connect Apple Health?

On the Health step during onboarding, or later in Settings → Apple Health → Review access. Welna only reads the metrics you authorize, and you can change access anytime in the iOS Health app.

How do I export a document?

Open any generated document and tap the share button (or "Share / Save to Files") to export a PDF, save to Files, or share it.

How do I delete my data?

Settings → Delete all history removes your saved runs and documents from the device. Deleting the app removes everything else.

How do I turn off analytics?

Settings → Analytics — toggle off anytime. Analytics are anonymous (no health data, documents, or identifiers) and used only to improve the app.

Is Welna medical advice?

No. Welna provides general health information to help you prepare for conversations with your clinician. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional. Not for use in emergencies.

Developer preview

OpenMed Agent is a local-first terminal/CLI runtime for clinical workflows. It is currently in preview and shared directly with approved evaluators.
